| Training Description: | This 18-month program is the first of its kind for MFTs and provides 25 hours of continuing education. New cohorts are opened every year in conjunction with the Leadership Symposium. The credential is ideal for emerging MFTs seeking to develop leadership skills; MFTs interested in leadership positions within their workplaces or communities, or within AAMFT; and MFTs aspiring to key roles in advocacy or policy development.
The program includes in-person training at the Leadership Symposium and the Annual Conference Institute, on-demand training through AAMFT’s Teneo online learning system, a personalized assessment to identify leadership and communication strengths and areas for improvement, mentor pairing, and development of a leadership portfolio.
