| Job Description: | Gundersen Health System, based in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) with expertise in addiction to join our Behavioral Medicine team. An applicant with experience working in a medical center on multidisciplinary teams, caring for patients with both medical and mental health concerns is preferred. The applicant must have completed an APA-accredited internsthip, have completed a postdoctoral fellowship and currently be licensed or license eligible in the state of Wisconsin.
This clinical position focuses on providing outpatient care for patients with addiction, development of addiction-related programming, assessment/evaluation of programmatic outcomes, and work within a multi-disciplinary addiction treatment team. The person in this position would also have the opportunity to be involved in collaboration groups and be involved with teaching, supervision and research should they so choose.
The Behavioral Medicine. department provides a wide spectrum of mental health services including inpatient mental health treatment, residential and intensive outpatient AODA programing, outpatient and mental health groups, as well as family, couples and individual therapy. You will join a large collaborative team including 7 Adult Psychiatrists, 4 Child Psychiatrists, 11 Psychologists, 4 Psychiatric NPs, an Internal Medicine physician and a host of Master’s prepared Therapists, Counselors and Social Workers.
